I. L2-Technical review of all Instrumentation & Automation engg. Documents at various stages listed below
a. Pre-sales: Review of Technical Scope, BOM, DBR/specifications, tech-offer drawings such as architecture etc
b. Basic Engg: Review of P&ID, C&I- DBR, System Architecture, Instrument/IO schedules, Schematic diagrams including review/response to customer comments
c. Detail Engg: Review of Tech.DS, BOM at RFQ, PR/PO/MFC stages , Schedules, Schematics and Drawings such as GA, layouts and Control narratives & control system documents including review/response to customer comments up to IFC stage.
d. Review of Control room layout, Instrument/JB –Location layout, Instrument hook-up etc.
e. Review of C&I interface with Electrical, Mechanical, Piping & other disciplines.
f. Review of C&I part of Electro-mechanical package vendor documents, Process control sub-system packages such as ESD, Vibration monitoring etc., non-process sub-systems such as CCTV, Fire-alarm system etc.
g. Review of actuated valve packages (Pneumatic/Motorized) – on-off/Control valves
h. QA / Inspection: Review of ITPs, TPI-IRs, FAT reports
i. Erection & Commissioning : Review of field ITPs, erection/commissioning protocols, E&C contract – BOM/SOW
II. Participation in technical review discussions/meetings with vendors/customers (online/offline) during pre-sales, basic/detail engg stages including joint review of 3D/Control narrative/HAZOP/ Operability study etc
III. On-site Field Inspection / System-FAT for control systems and C&I equipment

a. Pre-Sales: Review of Technical Scope, BOM, DBR/Specifications, Tech-offer drawings such as Key-SLD etc
b. Basic Engg.: Review of DBR, Key-SLD, Distribution scheme, Load list etc
c. Detail Engg: Review of Technical Datasheets, BoM at RFQ,PR/PO/MFC stages for packages such as transformer, bus-ducts, PMCC/MCC/PCC, Motors, DG, APFC, VFD, UPS, Cables, trays, lighting and lightning protection system, Substation Automation(SAS) etc
d. Review of cable sizing, cable schedule, tray routing, substation layouts, lighting layouts Lightning protection layouts etc.
e. Review of Electrical interface with other disciplines
f. Review of Electrical Electro-mechanical packages for Electrical integration with main system
g. QA/Inspection: Review of ITPs, TPI-IRs, FAT reports
h. Erection & Commissioning : Review of Field ITPs, Erection/Commissioning Protocols, E&C contract – BOM / SOW
II. Participation in technical review discussions/meetings with vendors/customers (online/offline) during pre-sales, basic/detail engg stages including SLD review/3D/HAZOP studies
III. On-site field inspection / FAT for Electrical panels, UPS, Cables, Transformers, Motors
Technical guidance to engineers
1. Preparation work for any engg documents, drawings
2. Review of other discipline document which are not relevant to the consultant’s scope.
3. Co-ordination with vendor/client/contractors/in-house manufacturing
4. Participation in Project review meetings with client/vendor/contractor
5. Project management, Project report work, Project schedule management
6. Assignment of work to engrs/ designers/system-developers & team management
7. Vendor / contractor / Client follow-up works
8. Review of vendor / contractor bills
9. Document transmission/receipts to & from vendor/client/ contractor
10. Participation in SAT, site construction review meetings
11. Supervision of Erection / Commissioning
12. Operation & Maintenance trouble shooting
